Qalbigraphy is a calligraphy-inspired brand founded by Qalbsaleem Muhammad, emerging from a personal journey of self-expression, creativity, and a strong connection to Islamic values.
The brand’s inception was driven by Qalbsaleem’s need to express himself in a way that aligned with his faith while embracing his unique identity. Initially venturing into pencil portrait illustrations, he transitioned to calligraphy after realizing the significance of non-figurative art in Islamic history. Overcoming significant challenges in accessing tools and learning resources, particularly in Kano, Nigeria, Qalbsaleem persevered, eventually acquiring the necessary tools from abroad. His unique journey inspired the creation of an online store that not only provides calligraphy materials but also offers tailored courses, workshops, and curated learning kits to make the art accessible to aspiring calligraphers across Nigeria and beyond.
At its core, Qalbigraphy aims to inspire individuals—especially young people—to discover and embrace their uniqueness.
